Mertol Kasanan reverse-engineered his printer’s Bluetooth protocol after existing libraries didn’t match his variant. Basic image output works.
- ai
- ChatGPT helped with the Bluetooth code. The write-up documents its wrong suggestions and the experiments that got past them.
- caveats
- Read it as a case study. It won't drive other cat printers as-is. Hardware variant matters. Higher-quality modes unresolved.
- evidence
- Technical write-up.
